ABOUT
US
The Ramblers have been around since the early 1940s. The original members were largely doctors. Early meetings were typically at members' homes since fine dining establishments were not welcoming. Thus, the group would "ramble" up and down from New York City to Washington DC for meetings and/or to find a hospitable place for events that included wives.
As time went on, the membership expanded to include businessmen and lawyers. Our focus is being a social club, for the enjoyment of the members. Eight months a year, we gather at fine eating establishments and let our hair down, provide support to each other as we discuss what we're going through as Black Men, solve the ills of the world, enjoy candid conversation, good food and good beverages.
